Make the most of a bike ride

Don't ask me how they peddle, it is like India, where bikes are used for everything.

Snorkel Boat

This is our snorkel boat with 2x4 wooded ladder to get in and out. This is he boat that my friend Linda and I asked another guest to share the cost, "note to self" don't ask a Idaho cowboy, hyper and ready for adventure after 30 year marriage/divorce, who "burns one" at 10:00 a.m.

Huntley School Bus #158

Where have the Huntley School buses gone? Hopkins Village, Belize. This is the local police, who was driving a bus part time, until the political party changed. They will not let him drive. We actually googled to make sure it was our Huntley School district and it is.

Motor Biking in the Mayan Mountains

We had a fabulous day of motor biking, or dirt biking through the mountains. It is not for the faint of heart, often two lanes of road turn into three and we pass on-coming traffic. I road on the back with Wade, which turned out to be a good decision. As we cut through the back logging roads, that were filled with huge water filled holes, Robert became "one with the mud" three times. We on the other hand stayed vertical and plowed through the mess. Note Robert's left leg, as he always fell left. We have now paid for new motor bike parts. All in a day of adventure. Back alive.
Belize sunrise, at Hopkins bay. Our apartment is on the Caribbean, we hear the waves off our balcony. It is usually cloud clearing in the morning for some reason. The apartment is part of a house with three units. We have a lovely balcony in front, kitchen with table;hot plate and coffee maker. Then the bedroom with two double beds, and big bathroom with hot water. The way I travel hot water and 24 hour electricity is not always the norm.

We are getting lazier each week that passes. And, actually know the people driving down the one road through the village.

We are on a very slow pace, I have won at solitaire twice since we have been here, for the first time in my life, so either I'm playing a lot more, or my energy is good. I'll take the good energy.

Life is GOOD.
