For nine weeks in January 09 I spent time in Southern India. Traveled with my Ashram buddy, Hanna, to Chennai--Pondicherry-Madurai--Trivandurum--Neyyar Dam Ashram--Cochi, during January 12 to March 13.
We arrived in this ocean front Capital of Tamil Nadu during the Hindu celebration of Ponjay, fruitfulnss, abundance and prosperity of the villagers depends on how successful they celebrate.
We were in a hotel and chose the most direct route to the water. Once we went down the side street and saw the re-cycling humans taking apart every bit of metal, or plastic they could get, we knew why the hotel staff tried to direct us a more round-about way.
